Preliminary Task

This is my preliminary piece which I created with Chloe, and Jack. We were set certain pieces which were; we had to include some match on action, and some shots of the people walking, and we had to have a shot of them opening a door, and we also had to include the 180 degree rule, I think all together we achieved this very well.
firstly we thought of idea's which we could use for the production piece. we thought of who was going to be in the production first, we decided to include all of us. After this we then decided what characters we would role. We came up with, Chloe being a 'Chav' and Jack being a head teacher. from this we could then start to see an scenario beginning to form. We then finally came up with a story line. this would be, having Chloe being a Chav who is against the rules, and having to go to the principles office because she has miss behaved, The final outcome turned out very well in my opinion in the end.
For the editing, we looked at different sounds which we could use to make the sequence feel more like a short film. We did this in bits like for example when the phone rings and we can hear the sound ringing in the editing. Just simple bits like that we put together puts the film together in my opinion.
For the camera work, we wanted to experiment with different camera shots, like for example having extreme close up shots to show emotion. Like looking closely at an eye for an example. We did a variety of shots which then when put together makes you feel more indulged in the film. But always making sure that we kept to the 180 degree rule.
Overall I think the piece went very well, and the final outcome was better then what we expected. We have learned allot in terms of using editing skills, and different camera shots to help the extract turn out better, so in my next piece I can use this to refer back to.
